Ponytail Cuidados
KOKEDAMA
It is a Japanese technique that consists of replacing the container or pot with a ball covered with moss or coconut fiber, which will help the substrate to maintain humidity and temperature.
PONYTAIL CARE
As a houseplant, horsetail is basically a forgettable type of plant, as long as it has enough light to thrive and water. However, keep in mind that it is an extremely slow-growing plant.
LIGHT:
It can be as full sun or bright indirect light. Indoors, place it in the brightest place you can find: a window that receives direct sunlight or lots of indirect light.
. Tip: turn your kokedama on its axis to prevent it from tipping towards the light.
IRRIGATION:
It is watered by immersion, you just have to submerge the ball in a container full of water where the ball is 90% to 100% covered. The time in the water should be 5 min for the small and medium ones and 15 minutes for the larger ones.
The frequency of watering approximately every 3 to 4 weeks. In any case, this is only an orientation, the frequency of irrigation will also depend on the temperature and environmental humidity, among other factors. So adjust the watering according to the conditions in which your plant lives.
And remember, it is almost always better to "sin" to water less than more.
